The soil of CM, already quoted « Crû Bourgeois » in the 1868 Ferret edition (specialized wine publication), was in keen demand for the quality of its wines offering great delicacy of taste and silky tannins combined with red-fruits and vanilla flavours.
 
In compliance with the pure Medoc tradition, only noble vine-plants are planted in the deep gravels of the vineyard.
 
The cultivation processes, preserving the balance between soil and vine, the modernisation of the wine storehouse made in 1999 joined with the use of the latest technologies, favour the achievement of a wine with distinguished character, strongly requested for its nicety of taste and capacity of ageing.

Located in the head of the Medoc vineyard, approximately 6 km far from the Estuary of the river Gironde and 12 km far from the ocean, CM enjoys a microclimate on a Medoc brow 14 meters over the sea level.
